The DeliveryPoD Tracking System is a complete end to end system for tracking Prescriptions and General Pharmacy Items in any environment:

Pharmacy to Ward
Pharmacy to GP Surgeries
Pharmacy to Patients at Home

Each item can be tracked through every step of your current process. This can include production.

Access to All (Web Based)

The system is Web Based, so you can give access to those you wish to:

Pharmacy Team
Logistics Staff
People / Wards / GP Surgeries you ship to
(Restricted to items for them)

The solution can be hosted by us or you can host it on your own NHS Server. Please note, access to Website is license free to allow wide scale use.

Android Devices for Tracking

Android Devices can use an inbuilt camera to read the barcodes or we can supply devices with inbuilt barcode readers and a level of ruggedness better able to handle delivering items.

Keeping to Time

Ensuring things are delivered on time is critical, so DeliveryPoD provides a set of tools to help with this.

Prescriptions and Items are set for a Person / Department / Ward and put onto a Service that determines a Due by Date and Time. So we have an email for the recipient and a due time.

Automatic Email Requests are then set up. A few examples:

“Send Pharmacy an Email if a Prescription is still in Department with 1 hour before Due Delivery”
“Send Pharmacy an Email if an item is 10 minutes late”
“Send Intended Recipient and Pharmacy an Email if there is a failed delivery attempt”

Use of Barcodes

Barcodes are used to Track Prescriptions or Items through the process. You can use

Ones produced in DeliveryPoD
Existing barcodes when combined with sealable bags from Versapack

Tracking Through Every Step

Tracking Stages for the Android Devices which track Prescriptions and Items through each step of the way. The precise Tracking Stages depend upon your requirements but may include:

Scan Onto Trolley
Deliver with Trolley*
Scan Onto Van
Deliver with Van*
Deliver by Hand*
Customer Collects*

*The delivery steps will typically be set to obtain:

Name And Signature of Person Receiving
During COVID—Photograph and/or Location Record instead of Signature.

Essentially you have a complete audit trail from start to finish as each step is recorded against a Person and Date & Time stamped. “Who, What, Where, When” as we say in Tracking.

Sealed Bag Process for Transport Bags

In many environments such as Pharmacy you want to put items into a Sealed Bag for the transport section.

We handle that as follows:

Loading Process

Person Loading Bags—Logs onto Website
Scan the Transport Bag Barcode using low cost USB Barcode Scanner
Scan Individual Items Into Bag
Scan Seal Barcode (or “No Seal” barcode)

Transportation of Sealed Bag

The Transport Bag is Tracked using the Barcode on the outside of the bag using an Android Smartphone which moves the Bag and all of its items through the Tracking Stage selected.
